Daily Practices to Living a Confident Life

There are days when you feel defeated, overwhelmed, and uncertain about your ability. Days when you decide that giving up isn’t an option. Find more of the latter and remind yourself that you can do anything with God!

As I am in a season of growth myself, I am learning new ways to feel what I need to without allowing those feelings to decide who I AM. Who I AM is separate from how I feel because feelings are temporary, subject to change.

“My identity is solid, even when my situation is ever-changing.”
–Denise J. Meggett

Who I AM is permanent because I AM fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of Christ (Psalm 139:14). My identity is solid, even when my situation is ever-changing.

Don’t allow yourself to fall prey to the enemy’s lies of lack, less than, not enough, not worthy, incompetency, or anything that tries to tell you that you are not good enough.

Whether you are where you want to be or not – you are good enough, you are worthy, you are great, you can do it – stand on your faith in God and not your ability in yourself.

Being confident in yourself is vital to accomplishing your goals because what you believe is what you become. You must believe in yourself like never before if you plan on manifesting all of what God has placed in you to do. Stop settling for mediocre when you know greatness beckons your name – answer the call!

Living a confident life consists of you doing it by faith, doing it on purpose, and doing it daily. This is not something that you will have figured out overnight, yet once you have practiced it for some time, it will become easier for you to walk in.

Daily practices to living a confident life:

Spend time with God.

❖ Spending time in prayer, worship, and praise will help to edify you in a way that will help you conquer every obstacle you may encounter during the day.

Do something different.

❖ Breaking out of your normal routine can spark creativity, which can help move you into your next level of growth. The thing that you fear doing, maybe the very thing that you need to do.

Eat healthy & exercise.

❖ It’s vital that you take care of your temple/body if you plan on fulfilling your purpose. You cannot do all that God called you to do with a broken-down temple/body. Take time to invest in you by doing it on purpose!

Laugh at yourself.

❖ Don’t let life knock you down! Learn how to laugh at yourself – it is ok to make a mistake. You don’t have to be perfect to be fabulous!

Do what you love.

❖ Set aside time to read, listen to music, travel, dance – do the things that will allow you to relax and recharge. You don’t have to work all of the time; a part of loving yourself is permitting yourself to relax!

The Take-Away: In life, you will go through challenges. You will experience growing pains that feel like you can’t make it, but when you KNOW that you can accomplish anything with God – those days are not the end of the world for you! A part of living a confident life is trusting that God is your source for everything, and with Him, there is no failure. He will always be there for you, and He loves you! Confident living is having a bold faith in the God you serve – He makes everything beautiful, and He did that with YOU!
